Position Overview

The Jobs Plus Job Developer is responsible for driving employment outcomes for program participants through employer engagement, job placement, and ongoing support. The role works at the intersection of workforce development, community outreach, and economic inclusion.

This position supports a targeted housing community with over 1,000 residents, where employment access and economic participation are key priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• 
  Build and maintain strong relationships with employers, industry partners, and local businesses to understand hiring needs and create employment pathways
• 
  Identify and secure job placements, internships, and work experience opportunities for program participants
• 
  Assess participant readiness for employment and provide guidance on job search strategies and career pathways
• 
  Match candidates with appropriate employment opportunities and facilitate referrals
• 
  Maintain ongoing communication with employers and participants to monitor placement success and retention
• 
  Collaborate with workforce development agencies and career centers to align employment initiatives
• 
  Coordinate and support employment-related programming and activities
• 
  Promote program awareness through community outreach, presentations, and marketing efforts including digital and social channels
• 
  Support the development of partnerships with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance program impact
• 
  Track outcomes, maintain records, and support reporting requirements

Requirements

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Social Work, or a related human services field
• 
  Experience in workforce development, community outreach, case management, or employment services
• 
  Proven ability to build relationships with employers and community partners
• 
  Experience supporting individuals facing barriers to employment is strongly preferred
• 
  Strong understanding of local labor market dynamics and employment resources is an asset
