Key Responsibilities
- Title Processing: Meticulously prepare and process vehicle titles, registrations, and lien releases to ensure seamless ownership transfers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of Ohio state DMV regulations and federal laws to ensure all transactions meet legal standards.
- Documentation: Verify VIN numbers, odometer readings, and supporting legal documentation for accuracy, resolving discrepancies quickly.
- Liaison Duties: Act as a point of contact between the dealership, customers, financial institutions, and state DMV offices.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed, organized records of all title and registration transactions in our dealership management software.
Qualifications
- Experience Required: Proven experience as an Automotive Title Clerk or in a similar automotive administrative role is required.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in dealership management software, DMV portals, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in data entry and the ability to audit complex legal paperwork.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues in documentation and proactively find solutions.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively assist customers and work with various departments.
- Ethical Judgment: A high degree of integrity when handling confidential customer and financial information.
