Job Description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Nottinghamshire to assist with the appointment of a Job Evaluation Analyst, on a 3-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay £15.06 - £19.68 per hour

The Job Evaluation Analyst role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to apply job evaluation frameworks in line with organisational policies, equality principles, and legislation.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertake job evaluations across a wide range of organisational roles, including schools, using NJC and Hay Job Evaluation Schemes.
  • Analyse job descriptions, Job Description Questionnaires (JDQs), and supporting evidence to determine evaluation and appeal outcomes.
  • Apply job evaluation methodologies, frameworks, procedures, and local conventions consistently and accurately.
  • Prepare reports and supporting documentation for Job Evaluation Panels and present findings where required.
  • Provide professional advice and guidance to managers and HR colleagues on job evaluation processes, outcomes, and grading decisions.
  • Respond to enquiries and explain evaluation outcomes with clear rationale and supporting evidence.

Qualification:

  • GCSEs/A Levels (or equivalent experience) with strong analytical capability.

Essentials

  • Experience undertaking Job Evaluation or working within a structured analytical or HR environment.
  • Practical experience applying Hay and NJC Job Evaluation methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
  • Ability to analyse job descriptions and supporting evidence to reach objective, evidence-based conclusions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
