Job Coach / Supported Employment Specialist – $17–$23/hr

Abound Health is hiring a Job Coach / Supported Employment Specialist to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in finding, securing, and maintaining meaningful employment. This role combines job coaching, community-based support, and light DSP responsibilities, offering a rewarding opportunity to help individuals build independence and confidence. Abound Health is a mission-driven organization that has supported individuals with I/DD for over 20 years.

Schedule Needs

We are seeking candidates who can meet the following availability:

Required Coaching Availability:

• Thursdays: 10 AM – 7 PM

• Fridays: 10 AM – 7 PM

• At least two Saturdays per month: 10 AM – 7 PM

Additional flexibility preferred to support rotating monthly schedules, which may include:

• Monday afternoon/evening shifts

• Tuesday mid-day and early evening

• Wednesday mid-day and early evening

Full-time or part-time options available

• Minimum: 20 hours/week

• Maximum: 40 hours/week

What You’ll Do

As a Job Coach / Supported Employment Specialist, you will help individuals succeed in the workplace and in the community. Responsibilities include:

• Provide on-the-job coaching, skill-building, and workplace support

• Assist individuals in learning job tasks, communication skills, and workplace expectations

• Support clients during interviews, onboarding, and training

• Build strong relationships with employers and community partners

• Transport clients to and from job sites as needed

• Support individuals in community-based activities and independent-living skills

• Provide DSP-style support when coaching hours are not available

• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills

• Monitor safety and well-being in community and workplace settings

• Complete documentation, progress notes, and schedules

• Participate in paid onboarding and ongoing training

Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older

• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and active auto insurance

• Willingness to transport clients

• Ability to support individuals in community and workplace settings

• DSP experience preferred

• ACRE certification preferred (not required)

• Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is helpful but not required — we provide paid training

Pay

Starting Pay: $17–$23/hour
