Job Description

We are tech transformation specialists, uniting human expertise with AI to create scalable tech solutions. With over 8,000 CI&Ters around the world, we’ve built partnerships with more than 1,000 clients during our 30 years of history. Artificial Intelligence is our reality.

CI&T is looking for a Senior Data Visualization Specialist to work on a high-impact project with our client's global finance area, one of the largest payment and acquiring operations in the market. This position is strategic: the person will be the link between complex data and executive decisions, transforming financial indicators into clear, reliable, and action-oriented visual intelligence — for an audience that includes VPs and the international board.

You will act with high autonomy in an environment without the mediation of local data leadership, being the main point of contact between the data layer and the board. This requires technical maturity, a sharp financial vision, and a genuinely consultative posture — someone who questions assumptions, identifies anomalies before being asked, and delivers solutions that reduce operational time, standardize KPIs, and generate real and measurable business impact. The scope ranges from building and maintaining executive dashboards to ensuring governance, quality, and performance of the data presented, in collaboration with the team's data engineers.

Responsibilities:

  • Executive Dashboard Development: Design, build, and maintain analytical, managerial, and operational dashboards with a focus on clarity, performance, and user experience, intended for senior leadership, including VPs and the international board in the payment and acquiring sector.

  • UX/UI applied to Data Visualization: Building visually consistent, intuitive, and usability-oriented dashboards, combining aesthetics, analytical clarity, and decision-making efficiency with a focus on reducing cognitive load and accelerating data interpretation.

  • Mastery of Financial KPIs: Translating and monitoring critical financial indicators — such as revenue, margin, delinquency, risk, forecast, and budget vs. actual — into strategic visualizations that support executive decisions with precision and context.

  • Analysis and Deviation Detection: Applying analytical capacity to proactively identify anomalies, deviations, and root causes in financial and operational data, anticipating problems and proposing corrections before they are requested by leadership.

  • Governance and Data Quality: Ensuring traceability, consistency, validation, and auditing of the information presented in the dashboards, making sure that visualizations are always backed by reliable data and in compliance with organization standards.

  • Performance and Scalability: Optimizing queries and dashboards to ensure high performance and scalability in environments with large volumes of financial and transaction data.

  • Automation and Self-Service Analytics: Identifying and automating manual report generation processes, building self-service analytics solutions that increase the autonomy of business areas in data consumption.

  • Modeling and Data Consumption via Databricks: Using Databricks connected to the database as a central tool for data access and consumption, applying solid SQL and modeling knowledge to structure consistent visualizations — without needing to perform transformations or migrations, which are handled by the team's engineers.

  • Building with Power BI: Developing robust solutions in Power BI as the primary BI tool, ensuring high technical standards, KPI standardization, and component reuse.

  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Actively proposing innovative visual approaches, continuously elevating the aesthetic and functional standards of the dashboards — with a profile of someone who brings initiatives before waiting for demands.

  • Interaction with Executive Stakeholders: Communicating directly with finance and executive leadership from our client, gathering analytical needs, presenting results, and translating business requirements into effective visualization solutions.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience in developing executive dashboards and data visualization with proven mastery in Power BI

  • Strong mastery of SQL and data modeling for accessing, exploring, and validating information in analytical environments.

  • Experience with Databricks for data access and consumption connected to databases — fundamental technical requirement.

  • Knowledge of financial KPIs (revenue, margin, delinquency, risk, forecast, budget vs. actual) and ability to translate them into strategic visualizations.

  • Analytical capacity to detect anomalies, deviations, and root causes in financial and operational data, with a proactive posture in problem-solving.

  • Senior profile with high autonomy, consultative posture, and ability to interact directly with executive leadership without intermediaries.

  • Intermediate/Advanced English (B2 level or higher) for communication with stakeholders and technical agendas conducted in English.

Nice to Have:

  • Portfolio with examples of dashboards developed, demonstrating business impact (sensitive data and client names properly hidden).

  • Knowledge of Tableau and/or Looker as complementary visualization tools.

  • Experience with report automation and building self-service analytics solutions.

  • Knowledge of data security and compliance: LGPD, access control, and treatment of sensitive data in the financial sector.

  • Experience with large volumes of data in the context of financial transactions, payment methods, or acquiring.

  • Certifications in Business Intelligence tools or related data areas.

  • Experience in applying GenAI to dashboards and analytics, using smart resources for insight generation, information summarization, natural language interaction, and support for user-oriented data analysis.
