Qualifications:
- Education: Current Medical Assistant certification/licensure (if applicable).
- Licensure: Current CPR/BLS certification.
- Experience: Minimum of one year of medical office experience preferred.
- Other requirements:
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-specialty medical practice
- Professional references required (references will be verified)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Escort patients to examination rooms and obtain/document vital signs and medical history.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
- Perform EKGs, injections, phlebotomy, and specimen collection, if qualified.
- Prepare and clean examination rooms and maintain clinical supplies.
- Process prescriptions and medication refill requests as directed by providers.
- Complete patient forms, referrals, authorizations, and other required documentation.
- Scan and upload medical records and documents into the electronic medical record (ECW experience preferred).
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Follow infection control, OSHA, HIPAA, and safety protocols.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients.
- Perform daily clinical and clerical duties.
- Complete any additional duties assigned by Dr. or Office Manager.
