About the team and the role:
Perform the summative evaluation of jewelry verification in accordance with the eBay standards and document identifying features required to finalize jewelry verification.
Evaluate jewelry and apply sound technical knowledge to finalize accurate and consistent verification determinations including diamond quality, colored gemstone identification, estimate gemstone weight, and brand features in accordance with eBay standards within approved skills. Works under general direction. Work is reviewed for soundness of technical judgement, overall adequacy and accuracy.
What you will accomplish:
Learn eBay policies and procedures to detail results for the Jewelry Verification program.
Apply standard grading and identification methodology
Initiate and solve exceptions.
Apply knowledge of jewelry to identify characteristics and treatments present in gemstones
Collaborate with a diverse group of individuals.
Implement verification for all categories
What you will bring:
Gemological Laboratory grading and identification with minimum 1 year experience required.
Diamond grading experience preferred
Math proficiency: including but not limited to division, fractions and percentages
Collaboration: Interface well with others, knows who to go to and how to communicate issues/needs.
Strong analytical thinking
Proficient in both German and English
