Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required. Master’s Degree is preferred, in progress will be accepted.
- Strong interpersonal communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive student matters.
- Ability to escalate matters to necessary personnel during emergencies.
- Demonstrate organizational and time-management skills
- Must be willing to work nights and weekends as agreed upon with the Ford Village Director.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and lead ministry initiatives that foster spiritual growth and community among the residents in each unit within the Jewel House Living Learning Community.
- Provide consistent pastoral care and mentorship to freshmen, helping them transition into university life.
- Work with the Ford Village Director, to recruitstudent leaders to participate in the Living Learning community as upperclassman mentors for the freshman residents.
- Throughout each program year, trainand invest in the student mentors to ensure they are equipped for effective ministry.
- Facilitateweekly discipleship meetings for mentor leaders to grow in their faith, and pastoral and leadership skills.
- Design and implement engaging programming that supports the spiritual, academic,professional, and social development of students.
- Design and implement engaging programming that supportsunity and engagement with other areas of University Life such as Athletics, International Student groups, Spiritual Life, and Greek Life.
- Monitor and manage the program’s budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of resources.
- Coordinatedetails for the Tuesday night gatherings, curriculum planning, and guest speakers for programming.
- Work with the Director of Ford Village to evaluate the effectiveness of programming and mentorship through feedback and assessment tools.
- Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment that reflects the values of Christian community and service.
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a part-time position with flexible hours to accommodate program needs, including occasional evenings and weekends.
WORK LOCATION:
This position will work on the main campus, located at 3000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.

- Must be a Christian who is a member of a church that holds Jesus Christ to be their Savior and Lord, and who holds solely the Old Testament and the New Testament as sacred Scriptures.
