Valiant is looking for a Joint Event Support Team (JEST) Lead Planner supporting the Collective Joint Training (CJT) contract for the Joint Staff J7 Deputy Directorate Joint Training and Exercises (JS J7 DD JTE) in Suffolk, VA. The CJT contract provides analytical, operational, technical, and administrative support for the execution of all phases of the Joint Training System (JTS) for large joint and combined military exercises. Emphasis is on the five stages of the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) for Joint Staff and Combatant Command (CCMD) exercise events. This position supports the Chairman’s Joint Exercise Division (CJExD) for the planning, management, liaison, coordination, and execution of exercises/events. The JEST Lead serves as part of and directs a JEST Planner group for the building of exercise planning schedules, forecasting labor and travel, development of budgets, and facilitation of JELC activities and the completion of contract deliverables. The JEST Lead serves as a senior functional expert in support of Exercise Control Group (ECG) Operations and as an alternate point of contact for a CJExD Desk Officer.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree. (Additional years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements)

Work Hours: 0800 - 1700 (may vary based on mission requirements)
Overtime: Exempt, but surge efforts as required
Travel: As required, up to 30%
