
Hourly pay rate: Hire $22.00, 6 months $22.35, 1 year $23.40
Job Responsibilities
1. To wash and disinfect turkey production facilities in a safe and organized manner, ensuring that all company policies are followed
2. Assist all support areas of breeder production
3. Work occasional weekends washing unless otherwise instructed
4. Perform repairs, maintenance on equipment, and construction on projects assigned by supervisor
5. Follow sanitation and isolation procedures using tracking patterns
6. Follow safety policies and procedures as recommended
7. Communicate with supervisor on a regular basis to receive work orders as needed
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
9. Assist on vaccinations and insemination occasionally when not washing
Minimum Qualifications
* Basic math skills/able to read and write at 4th grade level
* Ability to work scheduled weekends and holidays
* Supply reliable transportation for travel to work sites and meet all sanitation requirements
* Cannot own or raise any type of fowl (i.e. turkeys, chickens, geese, pheasants, parakeets, etc.)
* No performance work actions in the last 6 months
* No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
* Ability to work in a smoke free environment/Must be 21 yrs. old and able to obtain a Medical Card
* Must possess a valid driver's license & able to meet JOTS driving qualifications
* PHYSICAL: Work in a dusty environment with ammonia present in all weather conditions while using approved respiratory protection
* Facial hair must not compromise respirator face mask seal. No beards
* Twisting/stooping/bending/squat/reach while handling turkeys/feed/litter/equipment 10 lbs. to 50 lbs. from occasionally to a frequent basis
* Able to work on uneven surfaces
Preferred Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous animal husbandry experience and/or a farm background (two years)
* Bobcat tractor experience
* Able to use and operate high pressure washer
* Small engine/pump repair experience
* Able to operate a scissor lift
