The Onboarding Specialist provides pre-boarding support to TA Operations for new hires, rehires, and transfers. Supports and responds to pre-boarding related needs for Talent Acquisition Partners and their designated departments. This position also triages, as appropriate, operational questions to TAPs or HRSC to support in the delivery of value added service to management and pre-boarding employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.

This position also triages, as appropriate, operational questions to TAPs or HRSC to support in the delivery of value added service to management and pre-boarding employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.
Job Duties
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
Acts as primary contact for pre-boarding hires, TAPs, and Occupational Health as it relates to the pre-boarding process.
Supports the delivery of TA pre-boarding processes for clients and ensures that TA pre-boarding service delivery is satisfactory to clients.
Partners with TA Team, Occupational Health, HRIT, and HRSC as appropriate, to address issues concerning pre-boarding.
Knowledge of and ability to implement TA Pre-Boarding related tasks, processes, and projects to ensure the day-to-day operations run smoothly.
Acts as point person for I-9 verification.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED HS Diploma or equivalent
Less than 1 year Prior HR Experience
HR Policies, Standards, and Procedures - A solid understanding of company policies and procedures related to onboarding, employment eligibility verification, and other relevant areas is important for ensuring compliance and providing accurate information to new hires.
Problem-Solving Skills - Pre-boarding specialists may encounter challenges such as last-minute changes or unexpected issues. The ability to quickly assess situations and find solutions is essential for keeping the pre-boarding process on track.
Time-Management- Pre-boarding often involves working with tight deadlines and juggling multiple tasks simultaneously. Effective time management skills help ensure that all pre-boarding activities are completed in a timely manner.
Cross Functional Collaboration - Working closely with HR, hiring managers, IT, and other departments is common in pre-boarding. Collaboration skills facilitate smooth coordination and information sharing to ensure that all necessary preparations are made.
Compliance and Regulatory Knowledge - Awareness of state and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and healthcare industry guidelines in recruitment and hiring processes within Jefferson Health. Adhere to changes in licensure requirements, background check procedures, and other legal considerations affecting staff recruitment for Jefferson Health.
Customer Service Orientation - Being approachable, responsive, and helpful is important for providing new hires with a positive pre-boarding experience and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Communication Skills - Clear and effective communication is essential for providing new hires with important information about their upcoming start date, what to expect on their first day, and any necessary preparations.
Adaptability - The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities is important for pre-boarding specialists, as they may need to adjust their plans or procedures based on the needs of the organization or individual new hires.
Organizational Skills - Pre-boarding involves coordinating various tasks such as preparing paperwork, setting up equipment, and scheduling orientation sessions. Strong organizational skills help ensure that all necessary arrangements are made in advance.
Attention to Detail - The ability to pay attention to detail is crucial for ensuring that all pre-boarding tasks are completed accurately and that new hires have everything they need for a successful start.
