La Mina Chuquicamata Subterránea (MChS) tiene por objetivo incrementar el valor de la Corporación, mediante la explotación subterránea de los recursos remanentes del cuerpo mineralizado que se encuentra ubicado debajo de la actual mina Chuquicamata, aumentando su vida útil por 39 años. Los recursos extraíbles que han sido incorporados en este proyecto corresponden a 1.738 Mt con ley de cobre de 0,694% y ley de molibdeno de 519 ppm.
La explotación de estas reservas se realizará en tres niveles mediante el método de Block Caving en una configuración especial denominada Macrobloques (MB's) como unidad básica de explotación, con variante de Hundimiento Convencional.
A lo menos 8 años de experiencia profesional, de los cuales al menos 4 años deberán ser en labores asociadas a obras subterráneas como las antes mencionadas y supervisión de obras civiles y/o mineras de magnitud y características similares a las del presente Contrato
