The role will also support product reliability, availability and technical integrity through engagement with configuration change boards, engineering working groups and Defence release governance activities.

This is a highly collaborative and governance-focused engineering role suited to candidates with strong Defence systems engineering, sustainment or technical management experience within complex ICT, communications or mission systems environments.

About You

You are an experienced Defence engineering or sustainment professional with a strong understanding of systems engineering governance, technical assurance and configuration management within complex capability environments. You have the ability to work across multiple technical and stakeholder groups to ensure Defence systems are delivered, sustained and governed in accordance with approved engineering and safety frameworks.

You will ideally bring experience across:

  • Defence systems engineering processes
  • ASDEFCON Support frameworks
  • Engineering Management Plans (EMP/SEMP)
  • configuration and baseline management

  • Defence ICT, communications or mission systems environments.

The successful candidate will possess strong stakeholder engagement and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across Defence product teams, acquisition agencies, vendors and capability managers.
