Job Description

What's the role?

We’re looking for a JD Edwards (JDE) Solution Architect & Functional Lead to take ownership of the design, optimisation, and long-term strategy of our JDE EnterpriseOne environment. This role combines enterprise architecture, functional leadership, and technical oversight to ensure our ERP ecosystem supports business growth, operational efficiency, and continuous innovation.

Working closely with both business and technology stakeholders, you’ll act as a trusted advisor across the organisation - translating complex business requirements into scalable, integrated solutions while driving best practice across architecture, governance, and delivery. You’ll play a key role in shaping the ERP roadmap, improving core business processes, and leading the adoption of modern JDE capabilities and integration strategies.

Ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on functional expertise, this is an opportunity to influence enterprise-wide outcomes within a complex and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end solution architecture and design of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne implementations, enhancements, and integrations, ensuring alignment with enterprise security, infrastructure, and business standards.

  • Act as the functional lead across core JDE modules including Financials, Procurement, and Project Costing, driving process optimisation and system improvement initiatives.

  • Provide technical oversight across all JDE development and integration activities, ensuring best practice in coding standards, system performance, and cross-platform connectivity.

  • Partner with senior business and technology stakeholders to provide strategic guidance on ERP capabilities, solution sizing, cost assessments, and long-term roadmap planning.

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks, design review processes, and documentation standards to support scalable and sustainable enterprise solutions.

  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation through the adoption of modern JDE capabilities, including Orchestrator and UX One, while remaining aligned to Oracle’s roadmap and industry best practice.

Who are you?

  • 8–12+ years of hands-on experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, holding a Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a Solution Architect or Functional Leadership role, with strong exposure to complex enterprise environments and JDE technical architecture.

  • Strong technical capability across JDE E1 development tools including C Business Functions, Event Rules (ER), RDA, Orchestrator, SQL, and API integrations, with experience across large-scale, multi-platform integration landscapes.

  • Proven experience leading full lifecycle ERP implementations and upgrades, including ongoing alignment to ERP roadmaps and Oracle release cycles.

  • Ability to operate across both business and technical stakeholders, translating complex requirements into clear, scalable solutions while influencing executive decision making and cross-functional outcomes.

  • Experience working in environments that span solution design, production stability, governance, and continuous improvement, balancing structure with practical delivery.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, with the ability to lead through influence, manage competing priorities, and deliver in fast-paced, complex environments.
