Job Description

A warm and welcoming family on the Upper West Side of Manhattan is seeking an experienced and reliable part time Housekeeper for their primary residence. The family resides in a beautifully appointed roughly 3,000 square foot, 4 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom apartment in a new construction building, featuring marble and natural stone surfaces throughout the kitchen and bathrooms as well as hardwood floors throughout. They are looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and will invest in maintaining the home with care and consistency. This is a wonderful opportunity for a detail oriented professional who appreciates working in a refined residential environment. The family has a toddler at home and is looking for someone who is comfortable and at ease working around young children. They previously worked with a cleaning company and are now seeking a dedicated individual who will bring a personal and invested approach to the care of their home. The schedule for this role is one full day per week, estimated at 10 to 12 hours, with quarterly deep cleans. The family is flexible on the specific day and open to finding an arrangement that works well for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Thorough weekly cleaning of all rooms, bathrooms, and common areas • Expert care for marble, natural stone, and hardwood surfaces using appropriate products and techniques • Bedding and linen care to a high standard • Quarterly deep cleans of the full residence • Attentive and consistent upkeep with particular care given to the demands of a toddler household • Maintenance of overall cleanliness, order, and presentation throughout the home

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with marble, natural stone, hardwood, and other luxury or delicate surfaces • Strong attention to detail and a consistent, thorough approach to cleaning • Comfortable and at ease working around a young child • Reliable, trustworthy, and invested in the long term care of a private residence • Ability to self direct and complete work efficiently within an established timeframe

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of private household housekeeping experience • Valid US work authorization • Strong verifiable references from comparable private household roles

Salary and Benefits

• $40 to $45 per hour depending on experience
