About the Role

We are looking for a Java/Kotlin Developer with strong Azure Cloud and AI/Generative AI experience to join an innovative technology project in Amsterdam.

The successful candidate will combine strong software engineering skills with hands-on experience in AI, Generative AI, RAG, Agentic AI, and Model Context Protocol (MCP). You will contribute to the development of modern, AI-enabled applications and services running on Azure Cloud.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Apply advanced Java concepts and modern software engineering practices.
• Develop and integrate cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Design and implement AI and Generative AI capabilities within applications.
• Work with ChatGPT and Large Language Model (LLM) technologies.
• Develop and integrate Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Design and implement Agentic AI workflows and intelligent agents.
• Work with Model Context Protocol (MCP) and related AI integration patterns.
• Integrate AI services and models into existing applications and enterprise systems.
• Build APIs and backend services to support AI-enabled applications.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Troubleshoot, test, optimise, and maintain applications and AI components.
• Follow secure, scalable, and maintainable development practices.

Essential Requirements

• 4–6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Strong understanding of advanced Java concepts.
• Experience developing applications in Azure Cloud.
• Practical experience with AI and Generative AI technologies.
• Experience working with ChatGPT or LLM-based solutions.
• Knowledge or hands-on experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
• Experience with Agentic AI concepts and implementations.
• Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
• Strong software development and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment.
