Job Description

Synechron is seeking an experienced Java Developer supporting enterprise-grade applications to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance systems. This role involves building robust back-end solutions with Java, frameworks such as Spring and Hibernate, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance functionality, security, and operational stability supporting business growth and digital transformation initiatives.

Software Requirements

Required Software Proficiency:

• Java (latest LTS version, e.g., Java 11 or 17) — extensive experience in developing scalable, enterprise applications supporting microservices architecture

• Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Boot), Hibernate — strong expertise in building secure, maintainable back-end systems supporting complex workflows

• Development tools: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, or NetBeans — proficient in coding, debugging, and deploying Java applications

• Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL — supporting data persistence, schema design, and data retrieval

• Version control: Git, GitHub — ensuring collaborative code management and versioning support

Preferred Software Skills:

• Build tools: Maven, Gradle — supporting automated build and dependency management

• Cloud deployment: AWS, Azure, or GCP — understanding supporting deployment and cloud-native development (preferred)

• API development: REST, GraphQL — designing and integrating APIs for distributed systems support

• Automated testing: JUnit, TestNG — supporting unit, integration, and regression testing (preferred)

Overall Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable, secure Java applications supporting enterprise workflows and microservices architectures

• Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and back-end teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient solutions

• Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and optimize performance and security of applications

• Support deployment pipelines and environment configurations supporting agile, continuous delivery methodologies

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, including performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and integration challenges

• Support system upgrades, containerization, cloud deployment, and migration activities supporting high availability and operational resilience

• Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture, APIs, database schemas, and operational procedures

• Drive improvements in application performance, security, and operational support aligned with business objectives

Experience Requirements

• 4-10 years supporting enterprise software development with Java supporting scalable, secure applications

• Proven experience leading the development of microservices architectures and enterprise applications supporting high transaction volumes

• Hands-on involvement designing and optimizing APIs, databases, and cloud deployment supporting scalability and security

• Experience working within Agile teams with CI/CD pipelines and automation practices supporting fast delivery cycles

• Industry experience supporting regulated environments such as finance, banking, or healthcare (preferred)

Day-to-Day Activities

• Develop, test, and optimize Java microservices and APIs supporting enterprise business workflows

• Collaborate with product, UI/UX, and infrastructure teams to translate business requirements into reliable, scalable systems

• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, security audits, and troubleshooting support activities

• Support cloud migration, environment setup, system upgrades, and container orchestration supporting high availability

• Automate build, testing, and deployment in CI/CD pipelines supporting agile delivery

• Maintain system documentation, API specifications, and operational procedures supporting compliance and operational excellence

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline

• 4-10 years supporting enterprise-grade Java applications in large-scale, high-availability environments supporting mission-critical systems

• Certifications supporting Java frameworks, cloud platforms, or enterprise architecture (preferred)

• Proven experience supporting scalable, secure, and compliant enterprise systems supporting extensive transaction processing and operational resilience
