  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine to moderately complex technical issues.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to solution design and technical implementation activities.
  • Apply Test-Driven Development (TDD) practices and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, architects, testers, and product stakeholders.
  • Support deployment and operation of applications within cloud-based environments.

Requirements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Commercial experience developing applications using Java (JDK 11+).
  • Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Knowledge of WebLogic Server and CAS SDK.
  • Experience working within AWS or other public cloud environments.
  • Understanding of container technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Testing practices.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaborative working abilities.

What We're Looking For

  • A proactive engineer who can manage their own workload and deliver assigned tasks effectively.
  • Someone who exercises sound judgement within defined parameters and seeks support when appropriate.
  • A team player with a passion for software engineering and continuous learning.
  • An individual who can contribute positively to technical discussions and, where appropriate, support solution design and implementation.

Benefits

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary £35,000 - £50,000 (Dependent on experience) with a range of benefits, complemented by ongoing training, mentorship, and career progression opportunities within a collaborative team environment.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career progression.
