Synechron is seeking a skilled and innovative Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java applications that support our business objectives. This position plays a critical role in delivering scalable solutions, enhancing system efficiency, and ensuring seamless integration within our technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will contribute to the organization's success by leveraging their technical expertise and problem-solving skills to develop robust software solutions.

Software Requirements

• Required:
  • Proficiency in Java programming language (minimum 5+ years of experience)
  • Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring, Hibernate, and Struts
  • Familiarity with Java development tools including Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, and NetBeans
  • Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server

• Preferred:
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Professional certification in Java programming

Overall Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and sustain high-quality Java applications aligned with business needs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design innovative solutions
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices
• Debug and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure system stability

Technical Skills

• Programming Languages:
  • Required: Java (essential)
  • Preferred: Additional languages such as JavaScript, Python for integrated solutions

• Databases/Data Management:
  • Required: MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server
  • Preferred: Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)

• Cloud Technologies:
  • Preferred: Cloud platform experience, especially AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

• Frameworks and Libraries:
  • Required: Spring, Hibernate, Struts
  • Preferred: Microservices frameworks, RESTful API development tools

• Development Tools and Methodologies:
  • Required: Eclipse, IntelliJ IDEA, NetBeans
  • Preferred: Agile, Scrum, DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines

• Security Protocols: (if applicable)
  • Basic understanding of secure coding practices and data protection

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years in Java application development
• Proven experience working with Java frameworks and development tools
• Demonstrated domain experience in database design and management
• Track record of working effectively within team environments in an Agile setting
• Alternative pathways include advanced certifications and significant project contributions for candidates with less formal experience

Day-to-Day Activities

• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining Java code for various projects
• Debugging and resolving technical issues and system bugs
• Collaborating with team members to develop innovative solutions
• Testing and validating application performance and security
• Participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code review sessions
• Documenting technical specifications and project progress
• Keeping abreast of new Java developments and integrating relevant tools and practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Professional certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer (preferred)
• Ongoing training and professional development to stay current with industry standards
• Relevant experience in software development or related roles
