Job Introduction
The Frequentis Group is an international supplier of communication and information systems for control centres with safety-critical tasks. These ‘Control Centre Solutions’ are developed and distributed by Frequentis in the business segments Air Traffic Management (civil and military air traffic control, aeronautical information management, air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical services, vessel traffic and railways). In Cluj we started in 2009 and our local team currently has 250+ colleagues and is growing.
smartTOOLS and smartSTRIPS are core Tower applications that support air traffic controllers in managing daily operations with clarity, efficiency, and real time awareness. smartSTRIPS replaces traditional paper strips with digital flight data strips, helping controllers track flight status, coordinate changes, and maintain consistent operational data across integrated tower systems. smartTOOLS complements this by providing an integrated information and control platform with real time monitoring of the runway systems and meteorological data.
Together, these applications streamline tower workflows, improve situational awareness, and enable safer, more efficient decision making in a modern digital tower environment.
