Your area of work:

At Clearstream, we are building innovative solutions that power global financial markets. Within our Asset Servicing division, you will contribute to the development of mission-critical applications supporting Custody and Tax services used by leading financial institutions worldwide.

As a Java Developer, you will work in a collaborative, international environment, leveraging modern technologies and DevOps practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers who enjoy combining strong technical expertise with business-critical application development.

Your responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and implement robust Java-based applications and services
  • Participate in technical architecture and solution design for new features and enhancements
  • Contribute to the integration and continuous improvement of our DevOps toolchain and infrastructure
  • Create and maintain functional and technical documentation
  • Ensure high-quality software delivery through automated testing and best engineering practices
  • Collaborate with international teams across multiple locations and business domains
  • Support application lifecycle management and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in an on-call support rotation for production incident management (after ramp-up phase)

Your profile:

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as Java Developer
  • Java Development Java and Java Enterprise technologies, REST APIs, JSF, EJB, JMS, MDB, JPA, JAXB, JSON and related integration technologies
  • DatabasesOracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL, Oracle Advanced Queuing (AQ)
  • Application PlatformsSpring Boot, Red Hat JBoss EAP
  • Testing & QualityJunit, Unit and integration testing methodologies, Acceptance testing practices
  • DevOps & CI/CDGitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Artifactory, Jira, IntelliJ IDEA
  • Infrastructure & AutomationLinux environments, Shell scripting (Bash/KSH)
  • Agile DeliveryScrum, Kanban, Agile development principles
  • Modern TechnologiesOpenShift, Docker, Cloud-native development, Apache Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms
  • Proactive, self-driven mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience with Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT)
  • Knowledge of digital assets and tokenization
  • Financial services or capital markets experience
