Job Description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Java Developer in India.

This role is designed for an experienced backend engineer who will contribute to building scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using modern Java technologies. You will work on designing and developing robust APIs, microservices architectures, and cloud-ready solutions that support complex business needs. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into well-structured technical solutions. You will operate in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment where code quality, performance, and scalability are critical. The role also includes exposure to DevOps practices, containerized deployments, and cloud platforms such as Azure. It is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on developer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and working on large-scale distributed systems.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Core Java, J2EE, and Java 8+ features.
  • Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices-based architectures for enterprise-grade systems.
  • Apply Object-Oriented Programming principles and design patterns such as MVC to deliver clean and maintainable code.
  • Work with containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to support CI/CD pipelines and deployments using Azure-based tools and environments.
  • Analyze client requirements and translate them into technical designs and scalable solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across application stacks to ensure system stability and performance.
  • Support release management, repository management, and version control best practices.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in architecture, coding standards, and development processes.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.

    • Requirements:

    • 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development, including Core Java and J2EE.
    • Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and solid experience building RESTful APIs.
    • Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns such as MVC.
    • Experience working with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
    • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application deployment.
    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and deployment pipelines, preferably using Azure.
    • Good understanding of cloud platforms, with Azure experience considered a strong advantage.
    • Exposure to front-end technologies such as React or Angular is a plus.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in complex system environments.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team collaboration.
    • Ability to quickly understand requirements and design effective technical solutions.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to manage production-level issues efficiently.
