Our client, a leading Software, Information and Communication Technologies company, operates internationally (Athens, Brussels, Luxembourg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, Nicosia, Hong-Kong, Valetta, etc). Our client is a renowned supplier of IT services to government institutions, multinational corporations, public administrations and multinational companies, research and academic institutes.

Our client currently has a vacancy for a Java – Application Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Requirements

• University degree in IT combined with relevant IT professional experience of 15 years;
• At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing full-stack Java applications (front-end and back-end);
• At least 5 years of experience in Weblogic server and Jira and confluence;
• At least 5 years of experience in modelling tools;
• Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
• At least 5 years of experience in Relational DBMS;
• Good knowledge of Business Process Analysis;
• At least 5 years of experience in interoperability technology (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture);
• Good knowledge of architecture best practices and patterns as well as microservices and architecture in the cloud
• Excellent command of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture;
• Analysis of the integration of different information systems;
• Production of software architecture documents;
• Data analysis and data modelling;
• Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting;
• Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud;
• Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users;
