#LI-JG1Welocalize is recruiting for Video Quality Specialists to join our team!  What you'll be doing?In this exciting role, you will be reviewing and troubleshoot video content for a leading consumer technology company as a contributor to the finished products released in target markets across the globe.
Please note: This position will require you to work remotely in Japan. Only candidates currently living in Japan and who hold work authorization are eligible to apply.  What you’ll need to succeed:• High proficiency in English• 1+ years experience in video editing / troubleshooting or technical video roles• Excellent ability to research and troubleshoot common technical errors such as frame rate issues, subtitling and audio mistakes, for movies and TV shows• Excellent analytical skills and good knowledge of macOS systems• A strong interest in TV shows / movies / media  Key Qualifications: • Passion for digital video and knowledge of the film and TV industry• Possess a thorough working knowledge of common technical issues found in digital video and audio • Willingness to work in a high volume, fast-paced, and changing environment • Ability to take initiative and troubleshoot video/system playback issues and identify trends to propose short and long-term solutions • Track record of responding quickly and decisively to issues • Effective verbal and written communication skills • The ideal candidate should have experience with some or all of the following: • Knowledge of subscription video content services and familiarity of their product offerings • Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet knowledge• Multilingual is a plus but not required Location: Remote in JapanContract: 12-month contract to start, potential for a further contract extension. Start date: ASAP
