The Role:

You will be a key member of our merchandising team, reporting directly to the Japanese Managing Director. This role is crucial for managing the entire order process, serving as the main bridge between our Japanese clients and our factory in China.

You will benefit from a comprehensive handover from a departing team member to ensure a smooth transition into your responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary point of contact and manage daily communications with our Japanese customers and our factory in China.
• Independently follow up on garment orders, from sample development and material sourcing to bulk production and final shipment.
• Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality standards are met.
• Closely monitor production schedules with the factory to ensure on-time delivery and proactively resolve any potential issues.
• Collaborate with internal parties to ensure all customer requirements are fulfilled, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Form 5 / DSE graduate or above.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of solid merchandising experience. Garment industry is a big advantage.
• Fluency in Japanese is essential (JLPT N2 or above).
• Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• A self-motivated, hardworking, and highly detail-oriented professional.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
