Project Details

• Rate: $60 USD / hour
• Location & Language: Remote in Japan, fluent in Japanese
• Engagement type: Freelance / Independent Contractor
• Status: Building talent pipeline for upcoming project — not an immediate start

Who we're looking for

We want people with real depth, not surface familiarity:

• A completed PhD (or ABD near completion) in one of the following fields:
• Social & Behavioral Science (psychology, sociology, anthropology, political science, economics, etc.)
• Humanities (history, philosophy, religious studies, area studies, etc.)
• Arts (art history, performance studies, music, media & cultural studies, etc.)
• Language & Linguistics (Japanese language, translation studies, applied linguistics, literature, etc.)
• Native or professional fluency in Japanese
• Strong written communication skills — you can explain complex ideas clearly
• Comfort working independently in a remote, deadline-driven environment

What the work will look like

Once the project confirms, selected experts will help train and evaluate AI models by:

• Writing, reviewing, and grading responses in your area of expertise
• Assessing AI outputs for accuracy, reasoning, and nuance
• Providing structured feedback that improves model quality
• Applying doctoral-level judgment to real-world, subject-specific tasks
