Job Description

JOB PURPOSE: The Janitorial and Maintenance Worker performs routine maintenance, cleaning, and repair tasks to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of CKCAC and CKYHS facilities across multiple counties. Duties include basic repairs, janitorial work, groundskeeping, and responding to maintenance needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
  • Serves as primary maintenance provider for Breckinridge, Grayson, Hardin, LaRue and Meade County CKCAC and CKYHS offices. The position is based in Elizabethtown, KY and an agency vehicle is provided for travel to other locations.
  • Performs assigned duties and routine maintenance functions, including, but not limited to, painting, cleaning facilities, and maintenance repairs.
  • Addresses emergency needs, as necessary.
  • Performs repairs on company machinery, equipment, or appliances.
  • Detects and reports the need for major maintenance repairs for facilities, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Serves as janitor for CKCAC Hardin County building at 708 Westport Road.
  • Maintains cleanliness of CKCAC and CKYHS properties, including parking lots and walkways. This may include mowing, snow/ice removal, litter removal, etc.
  • Ensures safe and healthy facilities for CKCAC offices and CKYHS centers, playgrounds, and premises.
  • Maintains good recordkeeping of maintenance requests and communicates maintenance updates to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Must attend all required CKCAC and CKYHS trainings.
  • Must represent CKCAC and CKYHS in a positive fashion.
  • Must maintain confidentiality for CKCAC and CKYHS matters.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to build positive and appropriate relationships with CKCAC and CKYHS staff, clients, and families.
  • Must be a team player who is able to work independently and with supervision.
  • Must be able to pass CKCAC and CKYHS required background checks and a pre-employment drug screening.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Kentucky driver’s license.
  • Must possess or be willing to obtain CDL-Class C license. Training is provided by the agency.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
