Job Description

Are you an experienced janitorial professional looking for a leadership opportunity? We are seeking a Janitorial Supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities while leading a team of custodians. This role ensures that all areas, including bathrooms, hallways, and kitchens, are kept clean and safe. If you have strong leadership skills and a hands-on approach, we want to hear from you!

What You Will Do

  • Ensure that bathrooms, hallways, kitchens, and other facility areas are clean and well-maintained.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming.
  • Respond to maintenance requests, including minor repairs.
  • Move furniture as needed.
  • Unpack and restock supplies in cafeterias and kitchenettes.
  • Supervise and support custodial staff, ensuring work is completed to high standards.
  • Monitor work quality and ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
  • Oversee safety practices and step in as a substitute custodian when necessary.

You're an Ideal Candidate If You Have:

  • High School Diploma or GED required (a combination of education and experience will be considered).
  • 2-4 years of janitorial experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • A valid driver’s license (preferred, with fewer than 6 points on record).
  • Ability to adapt to changing tasks and priorities with a positive approach.
  • Strong leadership skills, including training and supervising custodial staff.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and listening.
  • Customer-focused mindset, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment for all.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Knowledge of janitorial software (JAMS Droid apps preferred).

Compensation

$22.00 per hour
