Perform various cleaning tasks at assigned buildings to keep facilities in clean and orderly condition.

Essential Functions:
• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Steam-clean or shampoo carpets as assigned.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as assigned.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
• Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
• Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks as needed.
• Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
• Conduct one’s self in a professional manner as an employee of The Arc GLOW.
• Participates in quality assurance and compliance activities as required.
• Supports the mission of Arc GLOW by ensuring operational excellence and compliance that enables our team to provide high-quality, individualized supports.
• Other duties as assigned

Reporting Responsibilities:
• Reports to: Assistant Business Services Manager – South
• Business Services Manager – North

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• N/A

• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to perform physical tasks
• Dependable

Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as well as to sit, stand and stoop
• Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to operate all janitorial maintenance equipment including: auto-scrubber, buffer, mop, vacuum etc.

Working Conditions:
• Frequent travel to other sites
• Varied work locations depending on the needs of the work site
• Occasional dirty, dusty, and contaminated environments.

Minimum Qualifications:
Cleaning experience helpful
