The Janitorial Associate is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and orderly environments across production, office, and common areas. The role supports operational continuity by performing routine and specialized cleaning, waste management, and sanitation activities in accordance with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards. This position contributes to a positive workplace, safe operations, and efficient production flow.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and order of interior and exterior facility areas, including production spaces, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Perform routine and non-routine cleaning, sanitation, and auxiliary support tasks within production and operational areas.
• Manage waste handling processes, including segregation, storage, preparation for recycling, and removal from production areas.
• Support production operations by maintaining clean workstations, transferring materials as required, and ensuring indirect materials are available.
• Operate cleaning and material-handling equipment such as electric carts, floor scrubbers, and forklifts when authorized.
• Replenish cleaning, sanitation, and indirect supplies according to established procedures.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance issues, or deviations from site standards.
• Respond to emergency and unplanned situations within the facility according to procedures.
• Comply with all health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Heavy lifting and moving objects and equipment – according to health and safety requirements.

Education & Work Requirements

  • HS/Secondary school with 0-1 years of related experience

Education & Work Preferences

• Training or certification related to sanitation, cleaning methods, or workplace safety.
• Familiarity with waste segregation, recycling processes, or indirect material handling.
• Basic equipment operation skills (e.g., electric carts or forklifts), where permitted and trained.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including lifting and moving materials according to safety standards.
