Job Description

This position’s primary responsibility is to maintain a clean and well represented work environment. The upkeep of the bathrooms, offices, parking lot and warehouse are a vital part of daily duties and are a crucial ingredient of ensuring that team members have an experience that is consistent with the Living Spaces brand.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them

  • Clean windows and mirrors

  • Clean and supply restrooms

  • Remove waste and empty trash

  • Maintain cleaning chart indicating areas that were cleaned and inspected

  • Replenish cleaning and maintenance supplies

  • Organize janitorial storage areas

  • Notify supervisors about unsafe conditions or concerning the need for repairs or maintenance

  • Ability to observe safety and security procedures and to comply with policies

  • Ability to read and interpret written information; ability to write clear statements; ability to communicate orally

  • Must be able to do physical work and operate power equipment normally found in janitorial operations

  • Attention to detail

  • Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments

  • Ability to follow directions from a supervisor

  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism

  • Must be able to manage time efficiently and to work individually as well as within a team

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. 1-2 years of experience of maintenance or janitorial experience in a fast paced, warehouse environment. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have experience in Microsoft Office programs.

Position Hiring Range

The hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time.

Compensation: $17.40 - $23.25

Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy. Retail, Guest Services and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
