Perform detailed and thorough cleaning of plant areas: lunchroom, showers, locker room; around workstations and in walkways and grounds with efficiency, speed and accuracy. Complete record keeping associated with inspections and environmental documents. Perform the role safely and can wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Responsibilities
• Understand and practice Trojan Battery Quality Policies
• Operate various cleaning equipment (Nilfisk Vacuum, hydro-retriever, sweepers, etc.)
• Perform preventive maintenance on cleaning equipment, under supervision
• Perform light maintenance duties: paint walls and doors, carpentry, light repairs, and replacing lights in any and all areas
• Collect coveralls and towels for pickup by cleaning service
• Operate cardboard compactor machine
• Follow and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene practices
• Available for various shifts, and overtime
• Understand specifications and labels associated with hazardous material
Basic Qualifications
• High School Diploma, GED, or greater
• Read, write, and speak basic English
• Ability to work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plant
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
