Job Description

TITLE: Industrial Janitor

POSITION OBJECTIVE: Heavy cleaning of the building to maintain the cleanliness of the plant and grounds per company GMPs. Work in a safe and efficient manner to be productive, while maintaining a high quality of work. This is a temp to hire position. First shift hours 6am to 2pm and Second shift hour 2pm to 10pm.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have previous experience in industrial cleaning of 3 + years.
• Must have good past working habits and attendance record.
• Must be self-motivated to work independently to complete daily/monthly/yearly/tasks.
• Must have good communication skills both verbally and written.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Available to work overtime.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.
• Perform all assigned job duties.
• Use an industrial floor scrubber to clean the production floors.
• Emptying the production area garbage including dumpsters.
• Run the Paper Baler to compress and bale paper for recycling.
• Be able to work at heights using a Boom Lift to clean rafter areas.
• Any other misc. duties like cleaning doors, windows, walls as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
• Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
• Fast-paced production floor with exposure to machinery noise.

TRAINING:
• Must complete ongoing training as required.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
