Hayward Gardens Post Acute

Hayward Gardens Post Acute is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and understands the importance of cleanliness in a healthcare setting.

Position Details

• Position: Janitor

• Status: Full-Time

• Schedule: 4 Days On / 2 Days Off

• Pay Rate: $19.00–$20.00 per hour

• Location: Hayward Gardens Post Acute

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, common areas, hallways, offices, and other designated areas.

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize surfaces throughout the facility.

• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas and frequently used spaces.

• Maintain restrooms and ensure they remain clean, stocked, and sanitary.

• Collect and properly dispose of trash and waste according to facility procedures.

• Assist with maintaining a safe and orderly environment for residents, visitors, and staff.

• Properly use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies.

• Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

• Follow all facility infection control, safety, and sanitation policies.

• Maintain professional and respectful interactions with residents and staff.

• Perform other housekeeping and environmental services duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, housekeeping, environmental services, or healthcare facility experience preferred.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• Ability to safely use cleaning products and equipment.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift as required to perform job duties.

• Compassionate and respectful approach when working in a healthcare environment.
