Job Description

The Janitorial employee is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility environment. This role includes cleaning restrooms, removing trash and debris, sweeping floors and aisles, maintaining the exterior grounds, and following all safety procedures and standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Cleaning and restocking restrooms daily.

· Sweeping and removal of debris from floors and aisle ways throughout the plant.

· Removal of trash from all locations in the building.

· Picking up trash and debris around the outer perimeter of the building and parking lots.

· Maintaining awareness of safety principles and following safety standards of the position.

· Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

· Must be in good standing with Local 169.

· Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds 1/3–2/3 of the time and up to 20 pounds up to 1/3 of the time.

· Sanitation experience preferred.

Work Conditions: This job operates in an industrial manufacturing environment exposure to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, dust, fumes, oil, or other outdoor elements. This role requires regular standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time. Climbing stairs/ladders, squatting, sitting, operating machinery, and may require lifting up to 50lbs, and must be able to wear PPE as required. This is a full-time position and may require some overtime including nights and weekend work.
