The Job
As the Assistant Restaurant Manager at IZAKAYA, you’ll work closely with our General Manager, supporting the day-to-day operations and helping us maintain our high standards of service. Your role will include assisting with rostering, training and recruitment, as well as providing leadership to the team, ensuring a smooth and efficient service while maintaining the vibrant, dynamic atmosphere we’re known for. This is a key role where you'll contribute to shaping a team that’s passionate, dedicated, and always striving for excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Support the General Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the restaurant.
Assist in the management of team rosters, ensuring proper staffing levels and timely shifts.
Help recruit, train, and develop new team members to uphold IZAKAYA's standards.
Lead, inspire, and motivate the team, ensuring high morale and consistent performance.
Maintain communication between kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure seamless service.
Ensure the delivery of exceptional guest experiences, handling any concerns or issues that arise.
Monitor and support the team's adherence to safety, cleanliness, and operational procedures.
Requirements
Proven experience in a managerial or leadership role in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
A passion for excellent customer service and a commitment to high-quality standards.
A proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to handle challenges and multitask effectively.
Must be fluent in English; knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
Based in Amsterdam or nearby (flexible with commuting).
