of Position:
Under supervision of manager and client care coordinator, responsible for cleaning and tracking of equipment, preparation of medical supplies from delivery slips, and delivery to patient homes. Works with patients to inventory supplies, resolve or report problems as well as instruction on proper use of medical equipment when appropriate. Requires on-call availability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. Organizes delivery routes and prepares daily packing of medical supplies from delivery slips.
2. Performs individual delivery of patient medications and supplies.
3. Conducts in-home patient supply inventories.
4. Obtains patient signatures on delivery tickets and other forms as indicated.
5. Performs pick-up of supplies and equipment at completion of patient therapy.
6. Completes appropriate paperwork at completion of patient therapy.
7. Performs cleaning, inspecting, and functional testing of infusion control devices (pumps) and related equipment when necessary.
8. Assists in picking and packaging of enteral orders as needed.
9. Performs daily vehicle inspection and maintains vehicles in clean and proper working order.
10. Reports all accidents, vehicle damage, moving violations or warnings and driver’s license suspensions to manager.
11. Assists in maintaining warehouse and inventory areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
12. Communicates any problems, questions or concerns of the patient or care giver to the Client Care Coordinator or Manager.
13. Participates in staff meetings, department QA meetings and performance improvement activities.
14. Performs other tasks or duties as requested by the Manager, Client Care Coordinator or Director of Northside.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have valid driver’s license and safe driving record. Must be able to read a map. Basic knowledge or familiarity with medical equipment and supplies is required. Must be able to instruct patients on the equipment operation. Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form required. Must possess good organizational and time management skills. Requires the ability and initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction. Requires dependability in attendance and on-call availability and ability to work well with others.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Works in a retail store and storeroom environment and drives store vehicle.
2. Will be required to drive to other locations and areas.
3. Answers telephone calls with store issued cell phone and pager. Uses stores computer and other business machines such as copier, which requires the ability to apply finger dexterity
4. Individual bends, reaches, and lifts products for delivery and must regularly lift or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds and often lift or move up to 50 pounds.
5. Vision abilities required include up close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus with good night vision.
6. Must be able to stand and/or sit for long periods of time.
7. Will be required to periodically rotate shifts and days off and be on-call. All system employees must be willing to work all shifts, extra hours, holidays and emergency shifts as required.
