
Summary:
This position will assist the City’s Information Technology Department with a variety of tasks involving technologies used by the City of Lawrence. Duties will include basic troubleshooting, software installations, installing new PC’s, printers, and other related hardware. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with the latest computer software and equipment.
The preferred candidate will be someone seeking a career in information technology and having had some technical training or hands-on experience with computers and software. Must be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license, the ability to pass background check, and capable of operating a City vehicle. Applicant should be well organized and detail oriented. Positive, responsible, safety-oriented mindset and excellent interpersonal approach are critical.
Hours: Approximately 15-20 hours per week. The work schedule is flexible to accommodate schedules but must be performed during normal business hours.
