Office/Bureau Maintenance and Operations - Traffic Engineering

This is structure and crafts work as a licensed Master Electrician involving the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of various electrical systems. This position will work on a variety of traffic systems including Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), street lights, flashing beacons, traffic signals, and bridge lighting. Responsibilities include performing skilled electrical tasks in accordance with standard trade practices, the National Electrical Code, and all state and town electrical regulations. Indirect supervision may be exercised over other electricians, helpers, or transportation workers. Work is performed under limited supervision.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
A valid current Master Electrician's license.
Licensing/Registration/Certification Requirements: (These must be met by all employees prior to attaining permanent status in this class).
Maine Master Electrician's license as issued by the Electrician's Examining Board and a Class B Commercial Driver's License.
Under federal law, only U.S. Citizens, Permanent Residents, or H-2A, H-2B, or E-2 visa holders will be eligible for new or renewed CDLs.
