Job Description

This role is responsible for wing-to-wing commercial and operational execution leadership covering the AERO service portfolio in Venezuela, serving as the primary interface across the full lifecycle from opportunity development through delivery support. The position will lead customer engagement, account planning, pipeline growth, deal strategy, negotiation, and closure, while also coordinating execution-related activities to ensure customer commitments are delivered effectively. A key focus of this role is to support GE Vernova’s ongoing efforts in Venezuela, as the business continues to assess and develop potential opportunities in the country’s electricity sector. The successful candidate will help build customer relationships, shape commercial opportunities, coordinate internal cross-functional teams, and support execution readiness to enable sustainable growth in the market. It is also critical that this individual can work across GE Vernova power segments to help solidify the company’s strategy in-country from both a commercial and operational perspective.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end commercial and operational lifecycle for assigned opportunities and customer accounts, leading customer engagement, account planning, pipeline development, deal strategy, proposal coordination, negotiation, closure, and execution follow-through.
  • Work across GE Vernova power segments to align commercial priorities and operational execution in support of the broader company strategy in Venezuela.
  • Monitor market dynamics, customer needs, competitive positioning, and opportunity pipeline development, while ensuring accurate tracking of customer interactions, project activities, and opportunities in relevant business systems.
  • Support GE Vernova’s business development efforts in Venezuela by identifying, shaping, and advancing opportunities in the electricity sector, while developing strong customer and stakeholder relationships and helping position the company for long-term growth in the market.
  • Coordinate closely with Commercial Operations, Services, Customer Fulfillment, Project Management, and other internal teams to ensure effective planning, execution, and delivery of commitments, maintain a consistent “one face to the customer” approach, and lead the integration of solutions such as conversions, modifications, and upgrades (CM&Us) to support repowering of the aero fleet.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and strategic partners, as needed, to complement GE Vernova’s offerings, while supporting the development of winning solutions that balance customer requirements, operational capabilities, and business objectives.
  • Help define, coordinate, and drive the in-country operating structure, local interfaces, and execution support model required to enable safe, compliant, and effective delivery of customer commitments in Venezuela, including assessment of future investments required to support successful execution.
  • Provide leadership in managing complex customer situations and execution-related activities, including service coordination, outage planning, maintenance support, risk management, and cross-functional alignment to drive timely outcomes.
  • Travel as needed to support customer engagement, in-country activities, opportunity development, and execution requirements in Venezuela and the region.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in the power generation or electricity sector across commercial, customer-facing, services, project management, or operational roles.
  • Ability to support regular in-country activity in Venezuela and regional travel as required for business needs.

Desired Characteristics

  • Knowledge of the Venezuelan market and electricity sector, with the ability to navigate evolving customer and business environments effectively.
  • Strong commercial acumen combined with operational discipline, with the ability to manage complex opportunities and execution interfaces in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build customer relationships, influence cross-functional teams, and drive solutions from opportunity development through execution.
