TheIndustrial Forklift Operatoris responsible forunloading and loading all inbound and outbound products, along with moving,locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product within and throughout the warehouse.
Essential Functions/Key Deliverables
Inspect the technical condition of theForkliftand other handling equipment before starting work todeterminethe need for repairs to safelyoperatemachinery.
Record pre-use checks in the provided system or the vehicle logbook as required
Report any faults and/or breakdowns of theForkliftLead
Check the delivered quantities and condition of the goods recording data on the receiving form accurately
Unload goods, packaging, raw materials andotherfrom incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places using FLT
Complete orders for distribution, work to quality standards and providedinstructions.
Ensure each product pallet is secured for transit andlabelled correctly
Load goods or other materials onto the truck for transportationin accordance withwork security regulations/instructionsusing forklift
Move stock/goods usingforkliftthroughout thewarehouse according to instructions.
Use the SAP RFID scanning system equipment correctly following set orders and assigned tasks to ensure accuracy of inventory. Coordinate to ensure RF monitors are in good working order.
Transport materials to the production departmentcomplying withFIFO procedures
Operate low-lift pallet truck whenever there is a need forloading e.g. sea containers
Clean fork-Lift-Trucks and other handling equipmentin accordance withISO and BRC standards
Responsible for general warehouse duties when the forklift is notrequired This will include general housekeeping, etc. within the warehouse and surrounding grounds
Select /sort packaging materials whenrequiredandassistwith stock take
Assistwith the implementation and maintenance of CP systems, including performing internal audits asrequired
Safely exchange fork truck gas cylinders, refill fuel tank, or replace, re-charge batteries (whichever applies)
Must adhere to all plant GMPand BRC requirements.
Perform any other dutyreasonablecorresponding with the role.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience
Engineering or Technical Degree preferred.
Must have 2 or moreyearsforklift experience - preferred propane,gas,or diesel experience.
Abilitytooperatea forklift isrequired
Ability to read and write English.
Ability to perform basic math functions.
A basic working knowledge of computer systems, Microsoft Office, SAP.
Ability to function both independently and as part of a team; must be flexible and excited to grow with the organization.
