The IT&D Senior Manager – SAP Manufacturing & Plant Maintenance is responsible for providing strategic leadership, solution governance, and operational excellence across SAP Manufacturing (PP, PP PI, QM) and Plant Maintenance (PM) domains. This role drives manufacturing digitalization, operational efficiency, and system stability across global plants. Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Global Process Owners to deliver a robust, standardized, and future-ready SAP landscape that enables high-performance manufacturing operations.
Own the SAP Manufacturing & Plant maintenance modules roadmap aligned with global supply chain, operations, and engineering strategies.
• Provide expert guidance across SAP PP, PP PI, PM, QM, MII/MES integrations, and digital shop floor solutions.
• Ensure global template integrity, standardization, and harmonized manufacturing processes across plants and regions.
• Partner with operation excellence teams to define digital capabilities such as predictive maintenance, IoT, production visibility, and shop-floor automation
• Lead the end to end design, build, integration, and deployment of SAP solutions supporting production planning, execution, quality, maintenance, and manufacturing performance management.
• Design scalable manufacturing and PM solutions integrated with procurement, inventory, cost controlling, and scheduling.
• Serve as the final solution authority for changes impacting SAP Manufacturing & PM domains.
• Enable capabilities such as capacity planning, MRP, batch management, serialization, calibration, inspections, and digital work instructions.
• Govern SAP integration with MES/MII, automation systems, sensors, and connected factory technologies.
• Lead large-scale SAP transformation initiatives including S/4HANA migration, template rollouts, MES integration, and manufacturing modernization programs.
• Develop project scope, plans, estimates, resource models, and delivery timelines.
• Ensure high quality execution by internal teams, system integrators, and managed service providers.
• Ensure stable operations of SAP Manufacturing & PM applications with high availability and performance.
• Lead incident, problem, and change management processes and continuously improve support KPIs and SLAs.
• Manage root-cause analysis and long-term fixes for recurring manufacturing and PM system issues.
• Support critical production cycles such as shop-floor scheduling, month-end production settlement, material costing, and PM compliance audits.
• Strengthen master data governance for BOMs, routings, work centers, maintenance plans, and task lists.
• Maintain compliance for calibration, equipment qualification, maintenance logs, and quality records.
• Drive adoption of digital manufacturing technologies such as IoT-based maintenance, predictive analytics, OEE systems, and digital twins.
• Identify opportunities to optimize production efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance asset reliability.
• Promote automation and data-driven decision-making across operations
• Act as a trusted partner to Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain business leaders.
• Manage global partners, SI vendors, and MSPs to ensure compliant, high-quality delivery.
• Maintain strong business communication and alignment across plants and regions.
12–18+ years of SAP experience with strong functional depth in Manufacturing (PP/PP PI), Plant Maintenance (PM), and Quality Management (QM).
• Proven experience delivering large-scale SAP transformations, including S/4HANA Manufacturing & PM implementations or migrations.
• Strong understanding of end to end manufacturing processes: planning, material staging, execution, quality, maintenance, and cost settlement.
• Experience with MES/MII, shop-floor automation, IoT integration, predictive maintenance, and equipment lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing KPIs, asset utilization, OEE, maintenance workflows, and compliance processes.
• Experience working in global operations with multiple plants and cross-cultural teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors, MSPs, multi-million-dollar budgets, and global delivery teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel globally (5–20%)
