The SAP Integration Manager is responsible for leading the design, delivery, and governance of enterprise-wide integrations across SAP and non SAP applications using SAP Process Orchestration (PO) and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Integration Suite. The role requires deep hands-on integration expertise, strong architectural thinking, and the ability to modernize integration landscapes using API-first and event-driven patterns. Success in this role depends on strong communication, stakeholder management, and the capability to guide global teams toward scalable, reliable, and future-ready integration solutions.
Leads the enterprise integration strategy across SAP PO and SAP BTP Integration Suite, ensuring a smooth transition from traditional middleware to cloud-first integration architectures.
• Designs and governs scalable integration patterns using APIs, events, EDI/IDocs, SAP CPI, and REST/OData services.
• Manages end-to-end delivery of integration solutions for ERP programs, including SAP S/4HANA transformations and key business-critical projects.
• Ensures integration solutions adhere to clean-core, reusable, secure, and modular design principles aligned with enterprise architecture standards.
• Oversees the operations, performance tuning, and lifecycle management of SAP PO (PI/PO), including message monitoring, error handling, and interface optimization.
• Leads the expansion and adoption of SAP BTP Integration Suite—Cloud Integration (CPI), API Management, Event Mesh, and Open Connectors.
• Enables integration modernization by driving API-first and event-driven architectural practices across global business functions.
• Works closely with business, application, and technology teams to translate integration requirements into high quality technical designs.
• Manages EDI integrations with internal and external partners, ensuring reliable data exchange and SLA compliance.
• Implements integration standards, naming conventions, documentation, test frameworks, and version-controlled repository-based development.
• Provides leadership to integration developers, ensuring skill development, code quality, and consistent technical excellence.
• Collaborates with Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams to ensure compliance with audit, data protection, and cybersecurity policies.
• Establishes KPIs for interface uptime, message accuracy, end-to-end monitoring, and integration landscape health.
• Supports cutover planning, go-lives, and post-production hyper care for integration-related activities.
• Guides vendor teams, system integrators, and external partners to ensure high-quality integration deliveries.
• Communicates integration design concepts in simple business language to global stakeholders and senior leadership.
• Continuously evaluates new SAP BTP innovations, automation tools, and integration technologies to enhance the digital ecosystem.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 15-20 years of experience in SAP integration delivery and operations, with strong expertise in both SAP PO (PI/PO) and SAP BTP Integration Suite.
• Hands-on experience in building integrations using SAP CPI, API Management, Event Mesh, EDI/IDoc, SOAP/REST services, and cloud connectors.
• Strong experience designing integration architecture for SAP S/4HANA projects in global enterprise environments.
• Good understanding of modern middleware concepts including API-led integration, event-driven architecture, microservices, and cloud-native integration.
• Experience leading teams, managing developer workloads, and reviewing integration deliverables for quality and compliance.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices such as Git-based repositories, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and artifact versioning for integration artifacts.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work in matrix organizations and collaborate with cross-functional global teams.
• Ability to manage high-pressure integration cutovers, tight timelines, and multi-vendor coordination.
• Willingness to learn and stay updated on emerging SAP technologies like Joule, Business AI, and next-gen integration capabilities.
• Willingness to travel globally (5–25%).
