Job Title: Technology Vendor Management Analyst

Location: Toronto - Hybrid

Reporting To: Director, Enterprise Applications, PMO & VMO

Role Summary

The Analyst, Technology Vendor Management Office (T-VMO) plays a critical role in advancing enterprise governance of the technology vendor portfolio. In close partnership with IT leadership, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Legal, this role enhances sourcing, contracting, and renewal disciplines while driving process automation and stakeholder adoption across the IT ecosystem.

The Analyst contributes to building a mature, data-driven T-VMO capability by:

• Standardizing procurement documentation and enablement materials to promote consistency, compliance, and effective adoption across IT
• Advancing automation within the IT procurement lifecycle, including proactive renewal alerts, workflow optimization, and governance controls
• Delivering integrated vendor spend analytics by consolidating data across SAP Ariba (Source-to-Contract) and Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne (Procure-to-Pay) to improve financial transparency and commercial insight
• Supporting supplier risk and compliance dashboards to enhance visibility into approved, non-approved, and at-risk vendors
• Maintaining a structured IT vendor inventory to strengthen renewal planning, portfolio oversight, and financial discipline
• Enabling IT stakeholders to confidently navigate sourcing and contract execution processes within SAP Ariba

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Lifecycle Governance

• Support the inventory and maintenance of all IT vendors, contracts, MSAs and SoWs
• Support vendor onboarding, offboarding, and governance processes
• Track contract milestones, renewals, and notice periods, flag risks, and upcoming decisions

Renewal & Commercial Standards

• Develop standards for proactive renewal planning.
• Develop standards for conducting commercial reviews to identify optimization and cost avoidance opportunities.
• Develop standards for major software and SaaS renewals.
• Track and report renewal pipeline risks and exposure.

Spend Analytics & Financial Transparency Standards

• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Finance and IT Data Management team to:

o Deliver integrated vendor spend analysis by consolidating data across SAP Ariba (Source-to-Contract) and Oracle JDE EnterpriseOne.

o Develop dashboards and reporting to improve visibility into IT vendor spend, commitments, and trends.

• Identify vendor rationalization opportunities.

Automation & Process Improvement

• Advance automation within the IT procurement lifecycle, including renewal alerts and workflow enhancements.
• Improve system-enabled controls within SAP Ariba and related enterprise tools.
• Recommend process improvements that reduce manual effort and increase governance discipline.
• Advice on continuous improvement opportunities within the VMO function.

Risk & Compliance Oversight

• Collaborate with Compliance, Supply Chain and IT Data Management team to create IT supplier risk dashboards to enhance visibility into approved, non-approved, and at-risk vendors.
• Provide guidance for contractual and regulatory adherence of IT contracts.

Stakeholder Enablement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Develop and maintain procurement documentation, process guides, and training materials for IT stakeholders.
• Enable IT users to effectively navigate sourcing and contract execution processes within SAP Ariba.
• Advice on executive reporting and presentations related to IT vendor portfolio governance.

Key Deliverables

• Standardized procurement documentation and enablement materials, including technology products/services sourcing, contracts and renewal process and system flow documentation
• Enhanced vendor governance documentation
• Updated and systematized IT vendor inventory
• Vendor negotiation framework
• Spend analysis report and dashboard in PBI

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
• 3–7 years of experience in vendor management, IT procurement, commercial governance, finance, or related roles.
• Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP Ariba, Oracle JDE, or similar ERP/S2C platforms.
• Exposure to SaaS licensing models, software renewals, and commercial contract structures preferred.
• Experience working in cross-functional enterprise environments.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
