IT Tier II Technician

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an IT Tier II Technician In this role, you will be part of an IT team responsible for the successful overall analysis, development, enhancement, testing, implementation, installation, monitoring, operation, support and maintenance of our Kalahari applications/systems, analytical & guest-facing platforms/environments, end user computers, devices, audio and visual equipment.

Additionally, you would develop and maintain a general understanding of business operations, combined with prior IT experience and knowledge, to triage and resolve technical issues and problems. You would be a part of a team to install, configure, and test new versions, patches, and upgrades, partnering with the necessary infrastructure and IT Security enterprise teams. You would participate in a team on-call rotation, be available to work some off-hours and weekends, and have a flexible on-site schedule. This position may require travel to other resort locations on occasion.

Salary Range - $63k-$70k

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for resort systems, hardware, software, network connectivity, and business-critical applications, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot workstations, mobile devices, printers, POS systems, and other technology equipment used throughout the resort.
  • Partner with departments to support hospitality technologies, including guest-facing systems, property management systems, payment solutions, and other resort applications.
  • Monitor, document, and escalate technical issues as needed while maintaining accurate records, system configurations, and support procedures.
  • Assist with technology projects, system upgrades, new deployments, and opening initiatives while ensuring compliance with security standards, company policies, and IT best practices.

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma, GED, or higher level of education required.
  • Strong technical IT background with at least 3 years of technical experience supporting hospitality, restaurant, gaming, retail, or entertainment technologies, including POS systems, property management systems, kiosks, tablets, payments, and other business-critical applications.
  • Experience collaborating with business teams to gather requirements, support solution design and implementation, and maintain application environments across Windows, Linux, databases, integrations, and reporting platforms.
  • Knowledge of IT operations and support best practices, including incident, problems, and change management, vendor coordination, system documentation, security compliance, and production support.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset, the ability to support guests and operational teams, and a collaborative approach to working across departments and assisting teammates as needed.

Preferred requirements

  • Prior knowledge of POS and/or PMS systems.
  • Prior experience working in a Hospitality or related field.
  • Networking experience is a plus.
