Job Description

IT Test Analyst [6 Month Contract]

Requirements:

  • Intermediate to Senior-Intermediate test analysis
  • Banking / Financial Services experience, particularly with financial products, related trading activities, and life cycle
  • Exposure to compliance and regulatory environment in financial services (beneficial)
  • Exposure to foreign exchange trading activities (beneficial)
  • Degree, Diploma, or relevant Certification
  • Test Analysis skills
  • Good documentation and communication skills
  • Self-starter who takes ownership of expected outcomes; self-managed
  • Stakeholder management skills
  • Big picture thinking
  • Critical thinking

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Quality Assurance
  • Engage with stakeholders (both business and technology)
  • Develop awareness of platform capabilities
  • Apply client-centric thinking in a banking context
  • Translate business requirements and functional specifications into test plans and test packs
  • Perform testing on the platform as required, including integration, regression, functional, and end-to-end testing
  • Document test results and communicate them to relevant parties (project manager, analyst, vendor, etc.)
  • Communicate effectively at both business and technical levels with business analysts, vendors, and business stakeholders
  • Ensure a quality product before release by obtaining sign-off on test cases
  • Prepare release documentation, including deployment and back-out plans, with support from the business analyst
  • Periodically fulfill a support role post-implementation
