JOB SUMMARY: Your Flight Plan!
The IT Technician will serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance. This role involves monitoring ticket queues for break/fix and request calls, providing timely and effective support for computer systems, software, hardware, and networking issues. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. This position offers an opportunity for growth, with a focus on acquiring the skills necessary to advance to Tier 2 support.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Ready to Fly!
- Monitor Ticket Queues: Actively monitor and manage ticket queues for incoming break/fix and request calls.
- Technical Support: Provide first-level technical support to resolve queries related to computer systems, software, hardware, and networking. This includes responding to customer inquiries in person, over the phone, or via remote connectivity.
- Customer Follow-up: Ensure all customer issues are followed up, providing feedback and ensuring problems are resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
- Network Troubleshooting: Address and resolve technical problems related to Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other system issues.
- Peripheral Installation: Install and configure computer peripherals for users, ensuring proper setup and functionality.
- Voice System Support: Assist in the technical support and maintenance of voice systems.
- Escalation: Properly escalate unresolved technical issues to the next level of support when necessary.
- System Maintenance: Manage and maintain user statuses in Duo Authentication and Active Directory systems.
- Remote Office Support: Participate in a rotation to provide technical support to remote offices as needed.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: The Wingspan Needed!
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic understanding of computer systems, software, and hardware.
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN).
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Prior experience in a help desk or technical support role is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT: Our Nest is your Nest!
- Must be able to climb ladders.
- Must be able to carry/lift up to 75 lbs
- This job operates primarily in a clerical, office setting.
- Travel IS required for this position.
