At SENER we know that, with the right people on board, everything is possible. Currently, we are looking for an I.T. Technician to join our team in our Los Angeles office on a perm basis.

**This is an office-based role, and you must be local to the Los Angeles area to be considered** This would be an office based role.


The I.T Technician's role is to Install and maintain computer equipment, networks, telephony and other communications systems, in accordance with the instructions of I.T. Area Manager and SENER's corporate procedures, guaranteeing a quality service to users, to ensure the operability and continuity of the systems and applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, under the supervision of Technicians or Managers, the demand, to propose the best alternatives and facilitate decisions on solutions

  • In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 environment

  • Supervise the suppliers or third parties involved to ensure the quality of the service to the user

  • Respond to requests/incidents from SENER users in relation to computer systems, communications and applications, and respond to them, to guarantee the level of service to the internal customer

  • Preparing work equipment (computer and communications) for new incorporations, installing the appropriate programs and applications, to ensure the availability of the equipment according to the needs of each user. This function includes the reverse process in the case of equipment returns

  • To carry out the registration/inventory of existing computer and communications equipment, and to update it periodically in the database intended for this purpose, in order to maintain adequate control of the installed equipment and telecommunications

  • Maintain the equipment made available to ensure its correct operation

  • Maintain SENER's office servers, registering users, access controls, installation of applications, updates, etc., to guarantee the provision of adequate information to each user and the correct functioning of the systems/means of communications

  • Analyze, together with the IT Area Managers and the users themselves, the business demand and users, identifying integration opportunities and synergies, in order to propose the best alternatives and facilitate decisions on solutions

  • Support the IT Area Manager in the relationship (from negotiation to service) with the suppliers or third parties involved, establishing and supervising the fulfilment of the corresponding service level agreements, to ensure the quality of the service to the user

Qualifications:

  • Must have experience working in an engineering or construction project-based environment

  • At least 5-8 years of experience working as an all-around I.T. Technical professional in a fast-paced environment

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience in

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • English and Spanish speaking is preferred

  • Excellent communication and people skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

  • Experience collaborating with diverse client environments and managing multiple priorities at once

CompTIA A+
