We're looking for a hands-on IT person who wants to be the go-to for everything technical in our office. If you like fixing things, keeping systems running and working close to the people who depend on them every day – this might be for you.
About us
Sweet Communication is a telemarketing company with offices in Bangkok and Hua Hin. Our sales teams call customers in the Nordic countries every day, which means stable internet, working computers and reliable phone systems aren't a nice-to-have – they're everything. When something breaks, we feel it immediately.
The role
You'll be the person who keeps the technical side of the office running. A mix of IT support, networking, security and procurement. You'll work closely with the sales floor and make sure agents always have the tools they need. We have an existing infrastructure for monitoring, virtualisation and centralised user management that you'll take ownership of and build on.
What you'll do day to day
• Set up and configure new workstations (we run Linux)
• Keep computers and systems updated and running
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems
• Handle procurement of IT equipment and peripherals
• Troubleshoot network issues – when the internet drops or calls start lagging
• Maintain network infrastructure (Wi-Fi, switches, cabling)
• Keep workstations and the network secure – we handle customer data and take that seriously
• Be the person people come to when something doesn't work
What we're looking for
• Hands-on experience with IT support and troubleshooting
• Comfortable working in a Linux environment day to day
• Familiar with centralised user management – LDAP or similar
• Basic knowledge of networking and security
• Someone who likes solving problems independently
Nice to have
• Experience from a call centre or telecom environment
• Understanding of VoIP and what affects call quality
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools like Zabbix
• Experience with virtualisation in a Linux environment
• Knowledge of network security, firewalls and QoS
