Hiring Range: $25.12 - $30.15 hourly, based on qualifications and experience.

The IT Technician has a customer service mindset and is responsible for providing the organization with IT support to resolve issues relating to the user workstations, IP phones and business software. In addition, the IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining hardware inventory, user access management, and training employees on technology used throughout the mission.

RESPONSIBILITIES

End-User Support and Service Delivery

  • Respond to, troubleshoot, and resolve support requests received by phone, email, and the IT ticketing system.
  • Provide in-person end-user support for workstations, IP phones, printers, audiovisual equipment, Office 365 services, and other business systems used throughout the organization.

Account Administration and Security Support

  • Create, update, and disable user accounts in accordance with established onboarding, offboarding, and access management procedures.
  • Support organizational security by assisting with user access management, password resets, account permissions, and routine access-related requests.
  • Escalate complex access, systems, network, or security issues to the appropriate IT administrators and collaborate on resolution as needed.

Hardware, Deployment, and Inventory

  • Install and configure IT equipment such as user workstations, printers, IP phones, audio visual equipment, and other technology assets.
  • Prepare and deploy user computers using approved imaging, configuration, and device management processes.
  • Organize, maintain, and update inventory records for IT equipment, peripherals, and related assets.

Training, Documentation, and Process Support

  • Train users on current and upcoming technologies used throughout the organization.
  • Document support activities, troubleshooting steps, equipment changes, and procedures necessary for consistent IT service delivery.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to improve support processes, maintain consistent procedures, and ensure effective communication across the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. Bachelor’s preferred.
  • 2 years of IT support experience in a professional environment.
  • A combination of education and experience can be substituted.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal customers.
  • Great analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters, set priorities, and work well under pressure with attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience troubleshooting computer issues in a Windows environment.
  • Experience with supporting Office 365.
  • Experience with user management.
  • Willingness to work on call for emergency issues.
  • Willingness to work occasional extended hours and/or weekends.
  • Must be able to lift and move at least 50 pounds.
  • Active Driver’s License and ability to meet DRM insurability standards, as work-related travel may be required.
  • Must be a Christian holding to the beliefs set forth in the Statement of Faith, expressed by a personal testimony and Christian conduct.
